Membership

• The membership fee is payable once in life time, except when the membership is terminated by the library. Membership fee for Temporary Membership is payable every three months.
• If a book/periodical is delayed for return beyond 30 days of the issue date, the membership shall be terminated and the security deposit shall be forfeited. No explanation for delay shall be entertained.
  
• Maximum 3 books can be issued to a member at a time subject to the value limit of the caution money.
  
• In case a book is lost, the member is responsible to pay the amount of the book in addition to other amounts due for rent etc.
  
• In case of damage to the book, the member has to pay the cost of repair (if possible to repair) or cost of new book.
  
• If membership card is lost, it can be renewed at a cost of Rs. 10/-. Any book issued on the lost card must be returned and all dues paid before renewal.
  
• Termination:- Membership can be terminated in case -
  a) The member does not pay the dues on time.
  b) The member does not abide the rules of the library either written or in practice.
  c) Due to misconduct of the member.
  d) Habitual default in returning books on time.
  e) Any other reason which the Managing Committee decides in order to ensure the sanctity of the library.
  
• Caution Money will be refunded within one year from the date of withdrawal or termination or expiry of membership.
  
• Caution Money shall not be refunded in case of termination of membership
