Shubham Sewa Akshar" is a school that aims to provide quality and comprehensive education to the underprivileged children. The goal is to provide the same resources and facilities as the other affluent schools, free of cost. We have two branches of the school- one at Nirman Nagar with ---- children and the other at St. Xaviers School with ---- children. In addition to the basic academic curriculum, SSA also focuses on health and nutritional issues. Approximately Rs. 3000/- per annum is the cost of educating one child. This is made possible by donation. SSA is always in search of finding donors and volunteer teachers.

Protecting the Environment…….ANTI POLYTHENE DRIVE
Our '
Anti Polythene drive' is our constant endeavour to protect the environment, to educate the literate and the illiterate about the harmful effects of polythene and benefit the society.
Our rally against polythene in August 2000, was one of the first ones in Jaipur. The then Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Anshuman Singhji, was there for the flag off. The Nagar Nigam Authorities, 20 renowned schools of Jaipur 12 popular ladies Clubs of Jaipur supported it and particiapted in the walk. Pamphlets and Cloth bags were distributed and the shopkeepers were educated about the harmful effects of plastic. Covering a distance of 2 kms. it started from Ramniwas Baug and going through Chaura rasta, Badi Choupar and Johri Bazar, reached back to Ramniwas Baug. A memorandum of demands was also presented to the Governor
Our drive does not end there. We encourage people to use alternatives to polythene bags. Shubham Sewa provides vocational training to the children of Majdoor basti and others and gets Paper bags and cloth bags made from them.
Old used linen, sarees, dupattas etc. are used for making these bags. There is a ban on using polythene bags in our grand Rakhi Mela held every year.
