Shubham Library
"A book is a garden, an orchard, a storehouse, a party, a company by the way, a counselor, a multitude of counselors."
The Library was started in May 1994 with 15 members and 1200 different kind of books. Being progressive in it's approach it has come a long way till date with 225 members and more then 7000 books on different subjects.
Knowledge is the only instrument of production that is not subject to diminishing returns. Keeping this saying in mind the library is aimed at stimulating the mind of our young ones by giving them all kinds of reading materials, such as educative, entertaining, reference, old and new classics for our collection of Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys etc.
Like wise adults will be lost in the maze of well known writers, Aurther Hailey, Sydney Sheldon, Irving Wallace and of course Romances of Mills and Boons, Daniel Steel. Books are available both in English and Hindi on variety of topics e.g. classics, current topics, autobiography, poetry, religion, general knowledge, reference books, education, literature, gardening, crafts, cookery, quiz etc.
With increase in popularity and circulation new books are added every month. A new book of any writer can be seen first at the book stall and second at Shubham's library. We also have Encyclopedias and other rare books which make enthralling reading but are too expensive for every reader to purchase.
Rightly said ……."The true university of today is a collection of books"
Reading is the best form of increasing ones knowledge and it also plays a vital role in the overall personality of an individual.
Infact 'Reading maketh a full man'.
